Spanning the social and political landscapes of the 1930s and 1940s, his work demanded a detailed understanding of period movement, social etiquette and historical authenticity. Working closely with the actors and creative team, Adam developed movement that reflected the physical language, social conventions and individual characteristics of the era, whilst remaining grounded in the emotional truth of each character. From intimate exchanges to large-scale choreographed sequences, his approach ensured that movement was seamlessly integrated into the narrative, supporting character development, pivotal story arcs and the series’ wider dramatic ambition.
